I found some cup cozies this past weekend at an estate sale. When I went to add them to my stash, I realized how many I had and what a variety of styles and colors.
I believe these are all handmade. They were meant to slip over the end of glass and act like a coaster.
I think I have a bit of a fascination with things that are crocheted or knit, since I have no talent with needles. I love the variety of patterns and colors. I have slipped these on smaller old milk bottles.
These gussy up some jars of craft goodies in my studio.
The flower details on these are great.
This set really lends themselves to some fourth of july decorating.
They add such an old fashioned charm to a simple jar or glass.
These almost look like a cable knit sweater.
A fun collection that has taken me awhile to collect. I usually find them in a set of four or so and fun to group the variety of patterns and styles together.
If you have an idea for a future collection challenge, leave me a comment and finish the sentence "Show me your collection of _____." A new collection each week.
I remember my mom making some of these in the early 70s for part of a bridal shower gift. You have some cute ones!

These are very nice. I don't think that I have ever run into any of these when out saling.

Yet another unexpected collection. Can you imagine how long it took to crochet those little flowers along the top of the white ones. Wow!

Love these cup cozies! I have a thing for crocheted doilies and runners as you know. I'm amazed at all the talent that people have with crocheting and knitting too! Adore the ones with little flowers around the edge. They look like some doilies I have!
Thanks for sharing these. They're wonderful :-)

Never have seen cup cozies before. What a cute collection! I don't crochet or knit but appreciate the talents of people who do. This probably explains why I have a big collection of crocheted doilies.

Love these! I've not seen cozies before either. My grandmother was so talented with her crochet and knitting needles. I didn't inherit those talents.

I have never come across cup cozies. Super cute!

I see these occasionally at sales. I think people used to use these on those aluminum glasses too because they tend to sweat. I like the ones with the floral edging.

This is a new collection that's for sure! These are certainly better that the foam rubber ones that say, "I <3 Beer" or some other silly thing. I think I have a few of these in my potholder bin, but none are as cute as yours.

Ack! Love these! They are especially adorable the way you have them grouped together. Can't imagine how much work went into the ones with the little flowers, especially since I am (still) knitting & crochet impaired as well.

I have never, ever seen these before... what a lot of crocheting and knitting. Must have been quite the fad back years ago.
