Teeny collection today. I only have three, but three is the magic number for a collection. I wear cardigans quite a bit and love to give a vintage twist to my outfit with a sweater guard.
A sweater guard is basically a little clip with a chain that is worn clipped from one side of the cardigan to the other. Usually they are worn near the top of the cardigan. (my photos show it a bit lower than where I usually wear them).
They usually either pin on or clip on (like an old style clip on earring). This is the the back of them. I prefer the clip on style.
This is my fanciest sweater guard with the cameo dangler.
This is my most recent find. As you can see the price tag is still attached and I got a bargain on it. It is missing a center gemstone, but I am crafty enough to figure out a replacement.
A fun little twist to wearing the usual pin on my sweater. If you have an idea for a future collection challenge, leave me a comment and finish the sentence "Show me your collection of _____." A big collection or a little collection...something new each Tuesday!
What a cute little post! I can see you using those too 😊 Love looking on your blog and IG feed. Need more coffee now!

Absolutely love your little collection. I haven't ever seen these before. Have to keep an eye out for them.

I have one that was my mom's that has butterflies on the clips. Kinda neat. I thought these were to use without your arms in the sleeves like they did in the 50s. With the clips it kept the sewater from falling off. Anyone know??

Oops-- what's a sewater?? I meant sweater!

i love those too! I have one set that is white flowers. I found them at an estate sale, but haven't come across any more in over a year! They are the cutest little accessory.

I had never heard of those before. I've probably run across them and didn't know what I was looking at. I learn something new every time I come here. It's like school or something!

These are so pretty. One of the first jewelry-type gifts I remember as a child is one of these from an Aunt. Thank you for the sweet memory!

Whew, from the title I somehow pictured vintage dress shields. I love these adorable, June Cleaver-y clips.
