I am still on the tail end of my aunt's estate. We have to have her apartment cleared by the end of the month so this week has been trips to Goodwill, packing up things to save and listing and selling stuff on Craigslist.
Thank goodness on the route to my aunt's apartment there just happened to be an estate sale yesterday. I popped in on the way home. I found some stuff. I needed that fix. Today, while on the way home from dropping a truckload at Goodwill, my mom and I decided to pop in. Things had gone half price. I found more stuff.
I liked the lampshade. I thought it would be fun to funk it up some for my someday beach house.
I was smitten with the little fish finial.
This was also the sale of scary dolls. I found two yesterday and two today for half price. I also found the enamel bowl.
A vintage pink child's iron and a sweet little rubber doll. I couldn't resist her grimy look.
The woman of the house. Her glasses were great and she almost looked like she was daring me not to buy her.One of my favorite finds was this old purse. The tag inside reads "Made in Italy for Nordstrom Best". The chain handle, big clasp, oversize shape and fun fabric just made it to great too pass up.
So happy to have this estate sale on my route to Auntie Kathy's apartment clean out. Was certainly a much needed break...and I didn't have to go out of my way!
Isn't it funny that when we are overwhelmed with stuff and finding homes for stuff, that a quick trip to find MORE stuff is just what we need? I work around here and price tings for the booths and to sell here and there and I get SO TIRED of stuff. So, what do I do? Go thrifting. But, I SO know what you mean about a diversion. I love the wee pink ironing board and the lady of the house photo. She looks like she needs a snarky little line of words added to her like, "I dare you..."

Glad to hear you are done with your Aunt's sale and have been able to find a few treasures at this sale. The lamp is so awesome and will be a perfect fit for the someday beach house. Hope you get some rest and sleep too :)

How did you miss that pink ironing board on the first day? It is so Magpie Ethel that I'm surprised you didn't hear it calling out for you :-)
Maddie yelped a little when she saw those dolls on IG. She told me she hopes you make them a little less scary.
Have a great weekend!

Can't wait to see a bit of magic on those dolls. That purse is fantastic and that lamp is equally wonderful! Yippee for estate sale season!

Love that as your donating to GW you find an Estate Sale and score! I'm donating each week as I downsize but I still shop and yes find a few treasures.

Happy to hear you are nearly finished with the clean-out. I have done it a couple times and it is daunting.
I know there are two pretty opposite camps on the scary dolls but you know I love them!

Glad you're on the tail end of your aunt's estate. Pretty good that you got a fix in too. Been gorgeous down here but the sales haven't really started yet. Waiting to see what you're doing with those creepy dolls. They're a tad creepier in that enamel bowl too😱.......,Halloween maybe? Cool purse and of course the pink ironing board....Sweet!
Can't wait for sales to pick up here ! 😊

I need a seriously good junkin' fix soon. This winter has been slow. Even though it's technically spring, winter is still holding on here!
