So sorry to hear about your aunt. Your family is very lucky to have you helping out. Hope it all goes well!

Erica

You are going to be known as that lady who had the estate sale with all the shells. Just wait! Someone will recognize you :-)

So happy the sale is finally happening. I know how hard you have been working on it. I can imagine it is taking an emotional toll as well as a physical one. Your aunt could not have asked for a better person to do this for her.

So sorry about your Aunt! Good luck at the sale, I know how hard it is to do those, especially for a loved one! Hugs, karen...

Musings from Kim K.

I'll be thinking of you this weekend. Fingers crossed everything sells well. I'm sure this has been emotionally and physically exhausting.

Kathy

It sounds like your Aunt had a very interesting life. I don't know when I have seen so many shells!
I think we can all relate to the challenge of finding the time for all the things we want to do. You do a great job keeping us up to date and entertained on IG!!

Amanda

I want to see what she crafted with them! :)

Wishing you a great Estate Sale!! That is an amazing amount of shells! Life certainly gets in the way of blogging sometimes. Hope getting this behind you will help.

Laurie, I'm sorry to hear about your aunt. I hope the estate sale goes very well. I know how much work it takes to do one. The shells look delightful. She must have had a good life!

Wow, that is quite the collection. My grandmother used to craft with shells and some of the pieces I have are my treasures from her. I hope the sale goes smoothly and you are able to sell sell sell those shells.

Good luck with the sale. Knowing you it will be fabulous. What a gift you are to your aunt. So nice to "officially" meet you and to see Amy this weekend. It was such a pleasure sharing a little vintage love with two ladies who are such an inspiration to me. Thank you for taking time at the end of your long road trip to stop by. XOXO

Hi Laurie,I read your blog all the time but never comment. Had to on this one because I saw on instagram that your Aunt lived on Kwajalein. I have a cousin that lived there for 22 years. Small world! We live in NH.
So sorry for your loss.

It sounds as if your aunt had a good life and interesting hobbies. Finding shells is not as easy as it may seem. I am sorry for your loss.

I do hope you saved some of the small and lovely scallop shells as I can just see them with your lovely mermaid pieces. Best wishes on getting your blog and web site back to it's usual.

So sorry to hear of your family's loss, Laurie. It sounds like your aunt was a pretty neat lady. I'm sure the estate sale will go well for you - you certainly know how they work! We did a moving/estate sale many years ago when my grandmother had to move, and I have fond memories of the people who purchased many items (including a whole rack of my mom and aunt's prom dresses from the '40's that went to a local theater company!). Hope all goes smoothly and you're soon back to "normal."

Sorry to hear about your aunt. Sounds like crafting is all through your family! Did you save any of those shells for your someday beach house? Hope your sale went great!

Tammy

With all those seashells you must have been able to hear the ocean without even holding up to your ear!
