Amy and I recently did a junking loop up into Washington. On the way home we stopped by Gayle's house. Gayle is a friend of Amy's (and an Etsy customer of mine) and Amy had visited her house before. Amy knew I would love to see Gayle's house and we got an invitation to visit. I was tickled to be able to get a full tour. This post is just eye candy...sweet eye candy.
This is the living room. The colors Gayle uses are right up my alley.
A back little sitting room has this fun little display.
I love the little cute snippets that were sprinkled around. A spun head bunny corsage was tucked into some vintage pots. (we were there before Easter so the Easter decorations were out)
Such fun touches like this windmill.
Now I want to collect floral tins.
Gayle's front windows had wonderful succulent gardens planted in turquoise containers.
It was a rather dark and rainy day so some of my photos did not turn out as well as I hoped. I think you still get a sense of the cheery scene though.
I did say there was lots of eye candy. It is everywhere!
Gayle had decorated for Easter and it was fun to see her display. I was touched to see some of my creations included.
Seriously such a darling house. Gayle, Amy and I visited for the afternoon as well (although my eyes kept darting around looking at everything...eye contact was difficult).
Thank you Gayle for sharing your home...truly eye candy inspiration.
Thank you so much. It was such a pleasure to welcome you and Amy. I have never hosted "celebrities" before and it was so much fun. I have admired you and have been inspired by your creative talents for many years. Seeing my home through your eyes is a wonderful treat!

Wow! I'm going to have to look at it again later. What a gorgeous house as is yours Laurie. How fun was that! Love the tour of another home and of course always enjoy tours of your home. After looking at your home and Gayle's house makes me want to tear my house apart and start all over!
Thanks for the field trip:-)
Have a great weekend!

Thanks so much for sharing these pictures. I love having a glimpse into other's homes--especially when they're as gorgeous as this one. I love seeing things that I also have and even more things that I'd like to have. I'm going to look at them again!

I marvel that many of us like-minded, vintage-lovin' folks might never have met (whether in person or through our blogs, etsy shops and IG accounts) if it weren't for the internet bringing us together. So lucky to have all these wonderful experiences and friendships. Thanks so much for sharing your home with us, Gayle. And thanks to you too, Ethel. So fun to share these adventures with you. xo

Having known Gayle for over 20 years now, her home continues to amaze us all! Her decorations for every celebration always out-do the year before. Our Fourth of July celebrations at Gayle's house have become something my family looks forward to starting on July 5th!! She's amazing. It's so fun to see others appreciating what we have been enjoying for years! Thanks for sharing.
