It felt really good to get into estate sale land today. The past few weekends I have had other plans or been out of town, so I needed that estate sale fix.
I hit three sales today (and one yesterday).
This pixie was starting out at me from a kitchen cupboard. I was happy to find him. The Shiny Brite boxes it the background are 10 boxes of vintage pink ornaments in the original boxes.
It was 102 here yesterday! I think this vintage fan will be put to use. Great base color! The auto kit will head to Etsy.
Lots of this and that. I dug through bags of misc. at one sale. I was happy to uncover two vintage Christmas corsages and some old tin molds.
A child's shoebox for my collection and a Christmas tree. I think the tree holds cards.
Quite a few sweet Christmas ornaments.
A nice ceramic Santa and a holiday stocking.
A super egg shaped candy box and a candle intended to be burned each birthday to mark a passing year.
An assortment of vintage wrapping paper
One of the sales I hit was an old fruit market closing. I got old racks and store display pieces. I don't find them super often. I found two that are often referred to as "chip clip stands". The black rack will hold boxes or containers. The metal signs are like garden stakes.
I also found 6 "chip clip" style that have a hanger on one end. Here they are holding a couple of vintage children's records I found.
I was happy to find the crepe paper flowers too. I divided those that I had the other day between two vases and was thrilled to find more today to plump up my arrangements.
It was so nice to be out hunting in estate sale land. I am heading out again tomorrow and hope to find more treasures. This is the season of estate sales!
My goodness, you do have Christmas in July! When we were in PDX it was never out of the 80s! Hope you have AC! Come visit MN and I'll keep you cool; we moved to a small college town south of the Metro (Northfield) and love historic homes and charm!!

Love those crepe paper flowers! I have my own very old and sad birthday candle like that. It is kind of, um, bent - and ran out of years many years ago - LOL!

Great stuff!
I would love to find some vintage ornaments, especially pink or pastels! I make ornie wreaths with them. I have some of those hanging chip clips, they come in handy for shows!
Happy Saturday my friend! karen...

I love old grocery store things - all those things would have been right up my alley. The metal signs (the garden stakes) would have had a price sign on then. The boxes - like apple boxes would have set inside the top of the box, then the tab stuck down in between the two layers of the boxes. My dad was a produce manager for 35+ years. I have several of the individual clip strips and I use them in all booths and shows. Fun finds!

The birthday candle says Tot n Teen. My grandmother worked at a clothing store call that when I was in middle school. The store was apparently part of a chain because in college in another town, I worked part time at Tot n Teen. I love all the goodies you found.

Lots of fantastic rescues! I'm smitten with that egg-shaped decorative box. Easter is a hard holiday lately for me to find. I can't believe your temps. I hope your studio has air conditioning!

Wonderful finds! I can't even pick out a favorite this time. It is good to get to a sale after a while of not going, isn't it?
