Vintage Childs Sewing Cards. I collect these because of their charm. I remember doing sewing projects like this as a kid. The cards are punched so you sew in and out through holes and outline the pictures. Easy.
Easy, but they box still came with directions.
Another set of sewing cards. I don't have the box with these. I think these are earlier, perhaps 1940s.
The bumblebees just are wonderful.
I just got this box recently at an estate sale.
This one is the size of a postcard and is stitched all around. I have it hanging in my studio.
I was thrilled to run across this box of sewing cards the other day that are almost like a deck of cards. These would be so easy for a mother to carry in her purse and pull out to entertain a child when need be.
I went on Ebay when doing this post just out of curiosity since my collection has been found entirely at estate sales. I was surprised to see how many sewing cards are listed...and there are some darling ones. Really darling.
If you have an idea for a future collection challenge, leave me a comment and finish the sentence "Show me your collection of ____". A new collection each Tuesday.
So cute! Love the graphics! :)

This is such a great collection as it is not something I come across during my forages. As always you have a great eye for charming graphics. Good luck at future sales.

This is a very nostalgic collection and I remember them well! I found a re-pro set for my Granddaughter a couple of years ago and I think I was more interested than she was. Maybe if they put it on a phone app - LOL!

I have been collecting these when I find them at estate sales too. The graphics are just delightful. I've often thought about framing some of them.
PS. It's probably the only type of sewing I can handle.

I love these too! I made a banner out of a set of these cards for my antique booth one year, kinda wish I kept it!
