I went out on Friday to a complete DUD sale. Driving home I passed an estate sale sign. Had to hunt that sale down and was glad I did...family run and almost no one there. I hit another sale on Saturday. My finds are from both days.
The folding table came in the original box. I like to use them for shows sometimes. I have about 5 folding tables in my stash. This one has a bright yellow top and the underside is turquoise.
At the Friday sale there was lots of Christmas to dig through. I love that dig and the end results.
I found three big rolls of old blueprints. At the Friday sale after I paid for everything I brought it out to the car. I decided to make one more dig through the house and was glad I did as I found an box with the old Christmas lights and reflectors attached. I am always on the hunt for reflectors. Those glass jars with the metal lids are on a lazy susan! Super cool. The spun head Santa heads have been made into earrings...I can't believe the stuff I find sometimes.
I'm a sucker for puzzles. This box of children's puzzles is a jumble. I have no idea how many puzzles or what kinds, but I think it will be fun to figure out. (thank goodness they are not multiple adult puzzles with a gazillion pieces as I would have never attempted that)
Hard to pass up a plastic garden chicken.
Lots of littles.
I am always happy to find these little glasses. I found a box for $2 with a ton of other glassware on my second round through the house on Friday. The glasses original held shrimp cocktails. I have a bunch of the ones with the seahorses ringing the glass, but the ones with the fish, shrimp and crab ringing the glass are new to me. Beach house bound.
I've been collecting vintage clocks for my upcoming Junk Bonanza show.
The sweet little chalkware bird is already hanging on my wall with the rest of that collection.
Always happy to find some Halloween treasures.
I have a collection of clothespin bags. This one isn't very fancy, but it came full of the old clothespins. The modern ones aren't the same.
Another good round of weekend junk.
Hope you found some too.
So much estate sale goodness!!! I love your glasses. I don't think I've ever seen them around here. Or maybe I just never noticed the designs. Perfect for the beach house! Enjoy all your new goodies!

Is the print by number unused? If so what dog breed?

Hi Laurie;
What is that long dog with the holes in it used for? I use mine to hold toothpicks. Also, how do you tell old marbles from new marbles? thanks!
Am enjoying your instagram account!

Great finds as usual. I have a few of those bobbing bird toys that I found in the MIL's house when we cleaned it out. I'm headed out to a yardsale crawl this weekend - I will have my Christmas radar in full mode. Hoping to find some hidden treasures!

You always find the best junk! I did manage to find a vintage paper Halloween pumpkin yesterday.

I was out to dinner with my mom and dad Saturday night and my mom had her usual shrimp cocktail. My brother made a comment about remembering when you could get shrimp cocktail in a jar. My dad said - yes and the jar was a drinking glass when it was empty!! my parents are 83!! So funny that today I see the glasses you found at the estate sale!!

When life gives you a DUD, you take a detour. Glad you were rewarded! So many wonderful treasures. My favorite is that Lazy Susan. It is super cool!
