Amy and I have what has become a yearly tradition to road trip south to hit the Alameda Flea Market. We have done it a number of years and you can read about past escapades if you use my search bar on the right and search "Alameda" (about 10 posts appear).
This year did not disappoint although the Alameda Flea Market has changed and prices have risen. It is still my perfect idea of a great vacation...driving and junking with my best junking pal. We left Friday morning and headed straight to an estate sale in Salem. It was a really good estate sale and a perfect start to the whole weekend.
These finds are from the entire trip. Amy is an excellent packer. This is only my stuff.
I also got a really fun chair which I did not want to drag out for this photo. Here it is in on IG in the shop I bought it in. The upholstery was just too fun not to bring home with me.
I found lots of littles too. I got a crafting grab bag at the estate sale and was thrilled to find tiny deer, cotton mushrooms and little owls. Bottlebrush crafting wreaths, sailor hats and sugar bells all came home with me too.
There was a vendor at Alameda who has lots of doll bits and pieces. It was a gather and ask a price booth. I was happy with the price and these all came home with me. I especially like the doll on the bottom with the big googly eyes.
A sweet lamb for Easter flipping next year and some wonderful flocked hot pink ornaments. Those are Easter bound too.
The majority of the Christmas I found was from the estate sale on the first day. Vintage tree toppers, pixies and a sweet ice cream cup.
Sweet bird salt and pepper. Christmas salt and pepper. A black cat that will make a Halloween appearance.
A nativity set, an old Campfire candy box, a metal soap box (that makes three now), Christmas reflectors and dolls to flip. I was happy to find a few more of those metal Scotch tape dispensers with the Christmas tape. I have a ton of those.
The estate sale had quite a few bins of old ribbon spools. I was delighted to add 70 to my crafting stash.
Storybook dolls. I have a new crafting plan up my sleeve with these.
Some great ceramic beach things for my someday beach house. I rarely find seahorses.
This green towel rack and matching waste can were just fun. I like the color and the faux bamboo look.
It always amazes me when kitchen utensils survive for such a long time in the original box. These have great green handles.
I was really, really excited to find one of my big plastic display trees with the little hooks on the branches. I never find them and only have one. I use the one I have to display my Christmas bell collection. I also found lots of boxes of tiny Christmas ornaments.
A huge assortment of Dolly Toy Company nursery cutouts.
Some fun cardboard and foil fish trivets. These are someday beach house bound.
Amy and I found a bunch of concrete figures at the estate sale on the way down. This deer travelled 1400 miles with us up and down the freeway. He will join 8 other concrete deer in my backyard.Above those cutouts in the photo are a dozen good sized bottlebrush trees. They are newer, but will be perfect for some holiday flipping.
A dog themed candy tin and a quartet of celluloid dolls for crafting.
The graphics on this Christmas stencil package were too good not to pass up.
I was happy to find one of these old metal science cabinets to add to Tom's study. I would like one more and then I can call it quits due to wall space. This one makes four.A deck of fun tree identification cards.
This little fellow was an estate sale find and rode on my dash the whole trip. I am sure he was entertained by our little adventure.
